SOUND Behavioral Health is welcoming a Director of Grants & Community Engagement in Tukwila, WA, to help share our mission with more community members. 

 

We are one of King County’s most comprehensive providers of quality mental health and addiction treatment services, supporting our area’s most vulnerable populations. 

 

This person will build and strengthen community awareness though meaningful activities that grows SOUND’s presence, relevance and impact in the areas we serve.  In addition, the Director of Grants & Community Engagement will create, develop, plan, direct and/or support community engagement activities in support of fundraising efforts, community programs, events, government affairs and partnerships.

 

Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with some flexibility for evening or weekend events. 

Location: In office at our Tukwila office (6400 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188).

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Sound’s, programs, services, initiatives, strengths and challenges.
  • Map, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community partnership efforts, research and identify new or expansive opportunities regarding effective community engagements and make recommendations to leadership as needed.
  • Build relationships with key community, healthcare industry, and business stakeholders, including overlapping nonprofit organizations, schools, government officials to enable access for meaningful discussions and collaboration
  • Align community engagement and communications strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Identify, establish and grow key relationships, memberships, involvement with relevant community organizations
  • Create and Liaise with the President’s Council provide suggestions as well as execute to ideas of individuals, organizations and businesses with whom they are connected.
  • Attend President’s Council meetings, create agendas, reports and formal expressions of appreciation such as communications and/or events.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a consistent and compelling message. Effectively communicate Sounds mission, values, and impact to diverse audiences.
  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends, community needs and concerns and share relevant information with the team.
  • Prepare reports on community partnership activities for Sound leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align community engagement and communications strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and maintain the public voice of Sound in tone and tenor.
  • Collaborate with external teams to execute consistent brand imaging across all communications.
  • Manage Foundation Grant Process and meet Grant proposal and Grant revenue targets.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support and participate during corporate networking events (may include some evenings).
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey information, ideas, and strategies to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze digital reports, analytics dashboards, marketing data, and written materials.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer and using standard office equipment.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally move throughout the office
