UCT is looking for a talented Chemline Technician III to join us in Phoenix, AZ!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chemical cleaning, stripping, etching, coating, and surface treatment processes on semiconductor chamber components.
- Operate assigned chemline equipment and manufacturing processes in accordance with approved SOPs and process specifications.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain chemical bath parameters and tank chemistries according to validated process requirements.
- Perform receiving, processing, masking, blasting, coating, drying, baking, inspection, packaging, and shipment preparation activities as required.
- Collect SPC measurements, record process data, and verify process compliance throughout production.
- Verify production documentation, travelers, work orders, and process records for completeness and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot routine process, chemistry, equipment, and quality issues and coordinate corrective actions when required.
- Maintain contamination-control standards and ensure proper handling of customer-owned semiconductor components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, throughput, cycle-time reduction, and process consistency.
- Assist in training and mentoring Technician I and Technician II employees in established chemline processes.
- Participate in process qualifications, new customer requirements, and implementation of process improvements.
- Handle hazardous chemicals safely and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Maintain assigned work areas in accordance with 6S and housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of chemical processing, wet chemistry, cleaning, coating, blasting, etching, or surface treatment operations.
- Ability to monitor and maintain process parameters using established specifications and procedures.
- Experience collecting SPC measurements and maintaining process documentation.
- Ability to identify process deviations and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
- Strong understanding of contamination-control principles and quality requirements.
- Ability to interpret work instructions, process specifications, and production documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing data-entry systems.
- Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and 6S practices.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, coating, plating, surface treatment, contamination control, or related technical experience required.
- Experience operating chemical process equipment and handling hazardous chemicals preferred.
