The Regional Sales Manager effectively retain, motivate, and train the sales reps within their region and division, and lead them so they consistently achieve financial targets. Manages a team within industry vertical or region in accordance with the business plan. This position is responsible for sales territory as well personnel management.
To be successful in this role, one should have significant previous experience in sales, the ability to set goals, while taking accountability for reaching targets. Our ideal candidates combine excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive integration processes of multiplatform procurement systems.
Ultimately, the Regional Sales Manager ensures area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of business objectives and contributes to our company’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Relays information from upper management to department staff about sales goals and generates leads.
- Overseeing regional sales and promotions
- Coordinates sales activities regionally.
- Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
- Handles and resolves customer complaints regarding a product or service.
- Work closely with assigned personnel in developing better market strategies.
- Work closely with all internal personnel to support customer service.
- Execute the sales, marketing plans, and overall strategies as determined by Director of Sales.
- Work to ensure that sales volume and margins objectives are met.
- Advise the Director of Sales on market issues affecting the company.
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Perform other strategic initiatives as assigned by Director of Sales.
- Sell to existing and potential customers.
- Manage day to day customers’ concerns and conflict ensuring alignment with territory plan.
- Works all state and national tradeshows when requested including driving a unit to and from show.
- Supports marketing efforts for company’s social media posts by providing information and photos and other relevant information.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
- Associate degree in Technology or Business Administration and 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/sales environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel; experience in bidding processes and online software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing and demanding environment
- Customer Service oriented
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to work autonomously and manage a team.
- Strong ability to create and maintain positive relationships.
- Should have a good driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL if required.
- Proven background of meeting business plan sales volume and margin objectives.
- Excellent communication, time management, teamwork, and negotiation skills.
- Availability to travel up to approximately 75% of the time.
