Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, IT – Meter to Cash is a strategic leadership role within the IT Customer Systems and Innovation organization. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of application services across Entergy’s Meter to Cash (M2C) value chain. The role ensures alignment between IT initiatives and business strategy, with a focus on delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions that enhance operational performance and customer experience.
The Senior Manager oversees a portfolio of applications—including SAP IS-U, Siemens EnergyIP, and Itron UtilityIQ—that support Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), billing, and back-office operations. This role ensures successful project delivery, operational excellence, and platform standardization through effective leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure IT solutions align with strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for application services supporting the Meter to Cash value chain, including SAP ISU, Siemens EnergyIP, and Itron UtilityIQ platforms.
- Lead a team of Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and support personnel to deliver high-quality application services and support.
- Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution of system issues, particularly across AMI and billing platforms.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to assess technology needs and design scalable, integrated solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and service-level agreements.
- Provide oversight for project delivery through Project Managers, ensuring execution aligns with scope, budget, and expected business outcomes.
- Manage software contracts and renewals, ensuring appropriate licensing and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the department’s O&M budget, including personnel, service provider, and software maintenance costs.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing application development and/or IT operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern development methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage large-scale project implementations.
- Experience managing budgets, personnel, risk, and contingency planning.
- Expertise in vendor management, including outsourcing and offshore support models.
- Solid understanding of the utility industry and strategic business drivers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ITIL v3
- Certified ScrumMaster®
- PMP or PgMP
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner
