About the role
CSA is looking for a Systems Administrator who specializes in administering and deploying VMware Sphere 6, 6.5, or 6.7 and Horizon View 6 or 7 with a solid background in designing and documenting new infrastructure deployment. In this role, you will help CSA manage systems to support our Navy client in a secure modernized computer environment.
As a Systems Administrator on our team, you’ll ensure student training infrastructure is functional and available and the virtual desktops are properly configured. You’ll help customers to overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in managing users and computers in an enterprise network. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- CompTIA Security+ Certification OR qualifying bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Years of Experience (YoE): 2
- General Experience: Software, systems, business processes, system/network/software/hardware integration and cloud infrastructure.
- Certifications: IA Contractor Training and Certification and Computing Environment (CE) certification may be required at the task order level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, including Navy POR systems
- Experience with Dell or Cisco UCS server management
- Experience with implementing VMware, Linux, and Windows STIGs
- Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or NaviCLI
- Experience with EMC VNX, XtremIO, or Unity storage arrays using fiber channel or FCoE
- Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- VMware Certified Professional 5 Certification or higher
- Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Computing Environment Certification for a designated Operating System
