Senior Information Security Analyst (Cyber Engineering and Operations)

Overview

ICCU is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst specializing in Cyber Engineering and Operations. This role will focus on developing cyber detection techniques, maintaining, tuning, and optimizing cyber and physical security systems, and executing cyber threat hunts and incident response. 3+ years’ experience in Information Security or equivalent experience in roles with significant information security assignments and functions.

2+ years' experience in cyber systems engineering, threat hunting, and incident response.

A strong understanding of modern AI, ML, and SOAR capabilities as they pertain to cyber and peripheral systems.

Certifications such as Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), EC Council Certified Forensics Investigator, CISSP, or similar certifications in network, systems, or applications security.

Responsibilities

The area of responsibility for the Senior Information Security Analyst is to maintain and improve the security posture of the Credit Union. The Senior Information Security Analyst position is responsible to:

Help ensure that Idaho Central Credit Union is secure through the development and implementation of best practices.

Provide information security thought leadership and risk-based security requirements.

Assess and oversee the technical and cyber controls set forth by the Idaho Central Credit Union Security Program.

 

Other Key Responsibilities

• Work with IT Management to develop and update the Idaho Central Credit Union Security Program, including relevant policies and procedures.
• Execute threat hunts, incident response, and other operational activities purposed with ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ICCU’s information and information systems.
• Have oversight and ownership of cyber engineering and operations within key security systems.
• Conduct and oversee the administration, configuration, and engineering of cyber systems including SIEM, EDR, surveillance, access, and partner services.  
• Develop custom detections and alerts using advanced query and search techniques.
• Leverage industry frameworks such as the Mitre Attack Framework to optimize ICCU’s threat detection, response, and containment.
• Conduct internal penetration and control testing and liaise with external penetration testing organizations, including the documentation, inter-team coordination, and tracking of findings related to control tests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This position will fill an Information Security Analyst I, II, or III role based on qualifications and experience.  Please refer to specific qualifications for each level.

 

Information Security Analyst I

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or engineering/math field of study highly preferred. Security+ or SSCP certification. 1 to 4 Years of experience in the Information Security field. Ability to communicate with Executive Management, Credit Union personnel and communicate effectively through customized reports. Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

 

Information Security Analyst II

A qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or engineering/math field of study. Additionally, a Master’s Degree or equivalent experience is required in computer related field such as Computer Science, Computer Security or Software Development. CISSP Certified, SANS GSEC Certification, or equivalent is required. 5-7 Years of work experience in the Information Security field. Ability to communicate with Executive Management, Credit Union personnel and communicate effectively through customized reports. Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.

 

Senior Information Security Analyst III

A qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or engineering/math field of study. A master’s degree in a computer related field such as Computer Science, Computer Security, Software Development, or equivalent experience is required.
