In this position...
Our team is part of the incredible transformation underway at Ford Motor Company and you’ll have a chance to be a part of that movement. We are seeking someone with a passion for employee relations and conducting robust investigations in a dynamic environment. Someone who appreciates the important role employee relations professionals play in supporting our values and culture and will carry out duties with the highest integrity.
This role will be a hybrid role, with expected occasional travel to US Ford facilities and as required, in some cases up to 20% of the time.
What you'll do...
People Matters responsibilities will include the following in support of US Manufacturing Plants and Staffs Salaried employees:
- Interpret and administer salaried employee policies and practices
- Provide guidance and support to Human Resources, Salaried Personnel and People Leaders on attendance-related disciplinary matters
- Collaborate with Human Resources and/or Salaried Personnel to review and finalize investigation summaries
- Exhibit sound judgment in recommending outcomes for salaried disciplines and investigations
- Partner with Human Resources and/or Salaried Personnel to ensure proper handling and disposition of cases
- Track and maintain accurate records and documentation of disciplinary actions and investigation findings
- Manage employee data and statements in a highly confidential manner
- Investigate and resolve workplace issues/concerns raised through internal Company channels and some externally filed complaints and violations of Company policy for Manufacturing Staffs
- Cross functional partnership on investigations, discipline, performance management, and other aspects of employee relations
- Serve as a strategic partner, promoting ethical and compliant behavior that is aligned with Company policy and government regulations, with fair and equal treatment for the workforce
- Foster an effective, inclusive work environment/culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values
- Conduct other duties as necessary to align with EEO regulations, and other internal and external policies and directives
You'll have...
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of HR investigative experience
Even better, you may have...
- Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or complex multi facility environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and matrixed work environment.
- Master's degree in a Human Resource related field
- HR generalist and/or Labor specialist experience
- Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors and integrity combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral /written communication skills
