The Director – Ambulatory Clinical Operations, Hospital Operations Department (HOPD) provides administrative direction to the multi-disciplinary care centers with an emphasis on quality management and enhanced customer service. The Director provides leadership in all facets of patient care and is accountable for the initiation and completion of business and unit plans that ensure quality while utilizing available resources efficiently. This leader is accountable for alignment of the care center vision with the organization mission, values and excellence goals (people, service, financial, clinical) and may be responsible for 24-hour accountability and for providing administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning involving the efficient use of personnel, operations, and fiscal integrity of the Operations and for optimizing the patient and family experience through to all Ambulatory Services operations.  This leader may have the ultimate accountability for driving preeminence throughout the assigned areas and ensuring success within the organization. This director acts as a partner of the organization leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for all areas of responsibility.

Reports to: Executive Director – Clinical Operations, HOPD

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Masters of Nursing or related field is required or actively enrolled.  

  • Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. 

  • Requires completion Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.
