MMC Tech Team is seeking a candidate for the role of Principal Engineer, Application Development based out of India.

Role: Principal Engineer, Application Development

Location: Gurgaon/Mumbai/Pune/Noida

We will count on you to:

• Maintain and support high quality software components & document software applications based on requirements provided by business stakeholders
• Participate in peer code and design reviews
• Perform Unit/Integration testing
• Understand the application/area as it relates to assigned projects/tasks
• Adherence to coding standards and best practices
• A self-starter and ability to work with limited supervision
• Stay up to date with industry standard best practices/techniques related to Application development
• Availability for meetings, on-call support, off-hours support work (including weekends) as required Ensure process adherence, and participates in process improvements initiatives
• Adherence to the below set of activities:
• Properly designed unit test cases, design and code reviews.
• Thorough execution of test cases, recording of test results, tracking and resolution of defects.
• Review requirements.
• Review code and other artifacts like design documents etc.
• Ensure that all deliverables from offshore are as per the quality guidelines
• Update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. Coordination at all levels within IT and business teams (global locations)
• Daily updates to ensure that project plan, WIM tool, knowledge base, project trackers are up to date.

What you need to have: [Must have technical skills]

• Strong development experience in
  • C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, JavaScript/JQuery, AJAX, WCF, Web APIs, SSIS, SSRS, Windows Service, JSON, XML, Web Services
  • Database: MS SQL Server
  • 3rd Party controls: Telerik
  • ORM Tools: Entity Framework
• Team Foundation Server, GitHub, BitBucket
• Ticketing tool like TFS, ServiceNow, JIRA
• Experience developing multi-tier Internet/Intranet applications  
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills  
• Good knowledge of SDLC and ITIL/SOP based processes, and hands on experience in support and/or maintenance multi-tier applications  
• Experience working in offshore-onsite delivery teams  
• Excellent analytical and effective communication skills  
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills  
• Fast learner, quality conscious and committed to deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of SDLC and Agile based processes, and hands on experience in support and/or maintenance multi-tier web applications

What makes you stand out:

• Experience with one or more of these - MVC, .Net Core, Knockout, MEAN Stack, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, Silverlight, PHP 7.x+, Classic ASP, VB Script, Dockers
• Knowledge of one or more web application frameworks  
• Experience in an least one of the reporting tools
