The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Product Segments) within Thales Naval.

About your future job
As Project Manager Industrial Supply Chain you will lead multi-functional projects to secure a reliable and predictable supply of materials towards the production lines from our suppliers. You will work closely with your colleagues within Industry, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and the external suppliers to solve and avoid production stops due to quality or poor delivery performance. The projects you will lead can be divers because the issue could vary, however the end result of the project will be the same “a structural improved and reliable supply of the materials”.
In this context you will lead problem solving projects, execute Gemba’s at the suppliers and execute kaizen projects. To manage the changes in a decent way you will be part of the Change Implementation Board (CIB) with the suppliers which are assigned to you.
You will have a strong focus on a reliable and predictable planning, timely availability of material and documentation, the logistic flow and related processes as well as value creation through continuous improvement of delivery performance. With your skills and experience you are able to gain the best results for Thales in a constructive way which will have a positive impact on the reputation of Thales as customer. This position will be the key-driver to transform the Industry organization to an environment which will be competitive, reliable & predictable and agile, driven by close collaboration with internal and external partners to reach maximum customer satisfaction and goals. In this position you will report to the Manager Supply Chain Managers. (Pending the Request for Advice)
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Lead supply chain related projects to secure a reliable and predictable supply of materials.
- Lead problem solving projects in the Industry related to poor quality or unreliable delivery of parts.
- Report on progress on the assigned projects in a concurring way
- Execute Gemba’s by suppliers and execute Kaizen projects between Thales and suppliers with the aim to optimize the supply chain.
Why you'd be a good match
- Completed a Bachelor or Master;
- Several years of experience within supply chain management and managing suppliers;
- Knowledge of ERP system (Oracle) / PLM system (Windchill) is nice to have
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and use of management tools;
- Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented;
- Soft/interpersonal skills and ability to maintain the relations;
- Strong communication skills;
- Dutch and English mandatory;
- Certification APICS CSCP and/or IMPA D is nice to have
