Principal Software Engineer: RDV-2435

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Principal Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

The selected engineer will support a fast paced, forward looking Software Development environment on the Architecture and Delivery (A&D) product team's Automated Test and Verification team, with tasking directed at Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related discipline from an accredited university with 5 + years of software development experience (3 years with a MS degree; 0 years with a PhD) and no more than 10 years' experience total.

Experience Requirements:

• Must be able to support in office development.
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with software development (Minimum python and TKinter (or something similar for GUI development) as well as SW development life cycle knowledge.
• Experience with understanding and verifying requirements
• Experience with build and development tools and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., GIT, Jenkins)
• Eager to expand knowledge and continually improve.

Special Skills Desired:

• Experience with Windows, and Linux-based systems
• Experience with containerization methodology and tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
