As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will:

-Support the pharmacist on duty in providing pharmacy services.

-Package, prepare, and distribute medications.

Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers services in a wide variety of specialties to meet community needs. Cleveland Clinic’s inpatient pharmacy areas support distributive and clinical pharmacy services provided by staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists and pharmacy technicians, supporting units, ORs, PACUs and/or cath labs at Tradition Hospital.   

 

A caregiver in this position works 8-hour rotating days/evenings between 6:00am—10:00pm. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding.  

• Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner. 

• Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.  

• Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.
