Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

As the Senior Equipment Maintenance Manager you will have overall responsibility for maintenance services at the site to include multiple equipment maintenance nodes, fueling operations, property book office, and two warehousing locations. The Site Manager will work closely with you and Material Supervisors and other staff to ensure equipment maintenance, warehousing activities, fueling, and property.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that accountability functions are performed to standards and codes required by the LOGCAP contract.
  • Report on maintenance and readiness activities and equipment to ensure all requirements in the PWS are met.
  • Ensure personnel required to work within the Global Combat Support System Army in the maintenance department are trained, on and off boarded, and remain current to operate within the automated system.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of all activities of a small to modest sized project located on site in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by KBR.
  • Supervise and direct the daily efforts of the technical and administrative sides of a project including reporting, staffing, personnel management, etc. to ensure contract compliance.
  • Implement maintenance management programs in a large operating region.
  • Provide general support of continuous improvement and maintenance management techniques and facilitate application of those techniques within the region.
  • Collect, review, select, and introduce to the organization new tools and management methods which enhance performance.
  • Recommend training, tools, and methods for the region, PSL, and other business units.
  • Provide input to special projects/teams as required.
  • Interface with customers, standardization bodies, and industry associations on maintenance/certification matters.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance strategies and initiatives.
  • Align the maintenance management function with the performance needs of the business units.
  • Lead/facilitate teams relative to the design of measurement, monitoring, and improvement.
  • Manage a workforce of less than 1,000 direct hires and subcontracted employees.
  • Provide clear directions to employees regarding compliance with company, customer, and local area of responsibility standards of conduct.
  • Instill a culture of continuous process improvement and high performance; and ensure that health, morale, and welfare requirements are met.
  • Review and make recommendations concerning daily operations.
  • Supervise, plan, coordinate, and direct the field and sustainment maintenance of all wheeled, tracked, armament, power generation, and utility equipment.
  • Serve as principal maintenance or operations for the project office.
  • Supervise personnel performing the duties of: Armament/Fire Control Maintenance Supervisor (MOSC 91K4O); Artillery Mechanic (MOSC 91P4O); Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintain Maintenance Supervisor (MOSC 91X4O).
  • Report directly to the Project Manager, and in their absence, may be authorized to act on behalf of the Contractor for all matters relating to this contract and be designated in writing to the Contracting Officer (CO).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the management of a similar or related multi-function operation.
  • Must have Site Management, Project Lead, Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager or Logistics Manager experience.
  • Must have experience engaging USG Stake Holders and Project and Program level Stakeholders in providing management oversight in the performance of the Contract.
  • Must have management experience leading groups of employees (1 to 100) and work
