The Quality Advisor manages the internal QHSE support at both Project and Business levels.

The role is divided equally (50/50) between Belgian projects and international project support, from tendering through execution.

They act as a key enabler of quality service delivery by implementing and maintaining BESIX’s Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with legal, client, and company standards.

Strategic Quality Management

  • Adapt and implement BESIX’s MS for Belgium and international projects, ensuring alignment with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO14001 and BENOR.
  • Coordinate and oversee the creation and customization of Start Packs and Activity Guides to ensure consistency and efficiency in quality delivery.

Project-Level Support

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop tailored Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and managing NCR’s – reporting, investigation, analysis and learnings..
  • Conduct process mapping and value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
  • Perform audits, spot checks, and supplier evaluation to address quality issues promptly.
  • Participation in project management (coordination meeting, controls, training, etc.)

Training and Development

  • Facilitate toolbox talks, training sessions, and workshops to improve team understanding of quality processes, tools, and BESIX MS requirements.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across projects, ensuring continual knowledge enhancement.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to communicate and uphold project-specific quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with the QHSE colleagues and team and add value where and when required.

Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Collect and analyse quality performance data using to drive qualitative decision-making.

Provide continuous and end-of-project reports summarizing quality outcomes, lessons learned, and key recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in science or engineering (civil preferred, construction industrial engineering/diploma)
  • Other degree(s) in technical or environmental fields, a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience minimum in construction quality roles. (Contractor/constructors roles) in various sectors (energy, public, private, industry sectors)
  • Significant work exposure to the Belgium market, European market and International Markets a plus.
  • Good communication skills with added people management skills a plus.
  • A team player, a person that understands and knows how to motivate others in multiple different operational and cultural contexts.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). Any other languages is a plus.
  • Conversant with digital solutions and tools – quality oriented.
