GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must have a bachelor’s degree and state of Mississippi certification in the subject area. Previous experience in working with disadvantaged students is desirable. National Board Certified Teachers are preferable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Will develop curriculum for the summer component.
- Will provide instruction to participants.
- Must provide engaging/hands-on instruction during application day.
- Must develop intervention plans for struggling participants.
- Must provide a virtual component for hybrid courses.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will supervise participants during instructional components, , trips, and breaks.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities outdoors and off-site.
