Job Summary

Clark County Public Health’s Senior Management Analyst conducts unbiased research and analyses on population health impacts of policies, laws, codes, funding, business planning, and forecasting efforts affecting the community. The Senior Management analyst provides information to the Clark County Board of Health (BOH) and all established Public Health Advisory Councils/Boards. The incumbent provides expert level research, analysis, and communication on policies impacting public health and strategic financial issues that have significant impact on local and state public health services and health outcomes.

KEY OR TYPICAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain collaborative, effective and productive working relationships with internal and external partners including working with community members, businesses, local, regional, state, and Federal governments and organizations.

• Work with multi-disciplinary and cross-sector public health teams.

• Collect, analyze and organize high-quality, objective research and scientific evidence demonstrating the impact of national, state, local, organizational, and program policies on population-level health outcomes.

• Provide health impact data and information to department leadership, Clark County Board of Health, and all established Public Health Advisory Council/Boards to support the development and management of new and existing policy and advocacy initiatives designed to protect, promote, and improve the health and wellbeing of Clark County community members.

This is a full-time non-represented exempt position.

This position has the option of a remote/hybrid work schedule possibility. However, the candidate selected must reside in OR or WA. No Exceptions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public health, epidemiology, public health law, or related field, and substantial and responsible experience in public health policy analysis, recommendation and/or development, preferably including public sector experience at the local government level.

A related master’s degree will substitute for two years of experience. Master’s degree in public health preferred.

Any combination of relevant experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Incumbent must be a resident of Oregon or Washington to finalize and complete processes to onboard as an employee of Clark County.
