Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role

The PMO team drives and delivers programs across PayPal, building new products and launching them globally. These programs span multiple teams,
projects, locations and involve complex technologies.


PayPal’s Checkout product supports a two-sided network solution that includes consumers and merchants using our platforms. As a Program Manager, you will plan, execute, track, and manage end to end solutions to ensure the desired customer and business value is delivered. You will drive efforts across the PayPal enterprise – to deliver product priorities across all cross functional teams. You will take charge of orchestration of PDLC, manage dependencies and streamline processes across multiple teams.

Job Description:

In this role, you will:  

  • Drive the coordinated management of large, complex programs over a finite period of time in order to achieve specific business goals. Ensure the timely delivery of business value and the efficient use of organizational resources.  
  • Partner with Business and Technology leadership to establish a solid understanding of the vision, purpose and expected business benefits of a program. Ensure measurable KPIs are defined and aligned to company goals and objectives.  
  • Manage the program-level decomposition of work across multiple delivery teams. Work across organizational boundaries to define program interdependencies and release plans.  
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Product Development teams to execute and deliver programs aligning to product vision and program goals, objectives and timelines. Make sure appropriate domain resources are engaged. Helps define creative solutions to address resourcing challenges.  
  • Drive resolution of program-level issues leveraging scrum-of-scrums as needed. Facilitate executive-level escalations and program-level change management.  
  • Monitor health of program. Track program-level status, risks, issues and dependencies. Proactively address delivery team impediments. Resolve program-level roadblocks to enable successful program execution.  
  • Manage program-level communications ensuring stakeholders are informed of roadmap changes, release plans and delivery status. Lead program-level reviews with delivery teams, stakeholders and executive management as required.
