German Proofreader - Freelance

Spotzer is a fast-paced, rapidly growing, global digital marketing business. Headquartered out of Amsterdam, we are serving tens of thousands of businesses across the world by building their websites, launching their paid search campaigns and creating power content.

We are looking for a native German Freelance Proofreader who can work remotely and help us deliver an insightful, creative copy to our small business clients. You will be communicating with our Content Manager who works from our office in Amsterdam. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of drafting engaging copy and writing high-quality content to achieve client marketing objectives.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Review and amend AI-generated text to enhance clarity, coherence, and overall quality.

Ensure that all metadata is accurate and optimized for search engines.

Collaborate with production managers and content managers to maintain the brand's voice while achieving client goals.

Provide constructive feedback to improve content quality and effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Native level of German.
• Strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles.
• A degree or diploma in language, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in proofreading or editing for an advertising or marketing agency (traditional or interactive) preferred.
• A keen enthusiasm for and a basic understanding of web trends and technologies.
• A strong understanding of SEO and SEM concepts.
• Excellent English writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage various editing demands.
