Job Description:

Summary:

The Data Analytics Specialist provides analytical and administrative support to the Director of Data Analytics. The position works extensively within various CRM systems and databases and would be required to pull data as requested and enter updates as needed. The Data Analytics Specialist’s duties include, but are not limited to, support in completing external ranking surveys, reporting on enrollment data, assisting in the gathering of faculty data, reaching out to Kogod stakeholders, and helping to complete data related to Kogod’s AACSB accreditation requirements..  This is a union-eligible position.   

Organizational Characteristics:

• This position reports directly to the Director of Data Analytics. This position requires interaction with AU Office of Information Technology staffs and Office of Institutional Research and Assessment staffs.

Essential Functions:

• Data Analysis/Entry: Working with partners across the business school to compile and validate data related to business school rankings. Perform outreach to Kogod stakeholders (e.g., students, faculty, alumni) to gather data related to the business school’s data reporting responsibilities. Assist with developing processes to streamline data entry and overall data collection. Analyze relevant datasets to extract trends and other meaningful insights. Ensure that data submitted for official reporting purposes is compliant with reporting rules and regulations. Assist in the preparation of charts, memos, and tables that help to communicate trends and insights to constituents across the school.

• Special Project Assistance: Assist with special projects, as needed, under the direction of the Director, Data Analytics.  Projects will include, but not be limited to, managing ranking survey deadlines, collecting data from current students and alumni, providing support for various CRM systems, sitting in on meetings, capturing notes on specific action steps, transcribing documents to different file formats etc.

• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to Director in preparing mailings, mail merges, event support, data hygiene, and record clean-up , etc.

• Other duties: Other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-Time.

Salary Range:

• $50,000-$58,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Required Education and Experience:

• Four-year college degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience or the equivalent in education, training or experience preferably in an analytical role.

• Strong sense of responsibility, good managerial and organizational skills, and exemplary customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

• Working familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
