Job Description:
What You’ll Do
Lead Clinical Excellence
- Champion evidence‑based practice and ensure alignment with Nursing Practice Guidelines.
- Inspire and support staff participation in shared governance, professional development, certification, and nursing research.
- Maintain deep knowledge of emerging clinical trends to elevate care delivery.
Advance System Coordination & Collaboration
- Translate departmental goals into actionable work aligned with LHMC’s mission.
- Use data-driven insights to guide daily operations and process improvements.
- Build strong cross-department relationships to enhance communication, workflow, and patient experience.
Drive Quality & Innovation
- Anticipate future needs and proactively shape plans that elevate patient outcomes.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to address regulatory standards, patient satisfaction, and quality metrics including NDNQI indicators and Core Measures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Empower and Develop Your Team
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a highly engaged and high-performing nursing workforce.
- Conduct meaningful performance reviews and support individualized growth plans.
- Celebrate achievements, encourage creativity, and create an inclusive, supportive environment for all employees.
Lead with Fiscal Responsibility
- Participate in annual budget planning and ongoing financial management.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field strongly preferred to support advanced leadership and understanding of nursing services.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Strong clinical competency and expertise within the relevant nursing specialty.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, leadership presence, and organizational skills.<
