As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you’ll serve as a key clinical leader—guiding pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and partnering closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. You’ll be hands-on with patient care, provide critical consults, mentor staff, and help shape best practices throughout the department.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of medications.

• Provide leadership and support to Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist in accordance with NYS regulations.

• Offer pharmacokinetic, antibiotic, and parenteral nutrition consults to providers.

• Support high-quality patient care by collaborating with the entire healthcare team.

• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, adverse drug reaction reporting, and medication safety efforts.

• Support medication management across all patient populations—neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

What You Bring

Education

• Minimum: BS in Pharmacy

• Preferred: PharmD

Licensure/Certification

• Current NYS Pharmacist License (or eligibility)

Experience

• Minimum:

  • One year of hospital pharmacy experience

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

• Preferred:

  • Previous supervisory experience

Skills & Knowledge

• Expertise with Unit Dose Systems, IV admixture preparation, parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapy

• Understanding of pharmacokinetic dosing principles and dosage adjustments across diverse patient populations

• Experience with ADR reporting and quality/performance improvement

• Strong computer competency

• Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and uphold our Healing Environment principles

Qualifications

Education
