As a Fragrance Development Manager, you’ll drive mutual success by developing winning fragrances for our clients’ brands. You’ll be a guided partner to Fine Fragrance perfumers, offering consumer trends, creative inspirations, and strategic ideas. With a growth mindset, leadership, and expertise in Fine Fragrance evaluation, you’ll shape olfactive strategies and lead client presentations for a dynamic and rewarding career. Technical experience as well as line extension and ancillary translation experience a plus.

Your key responsibilities
- Create Fragrance Magic: Develop enchanting fragrances that spell success for dsm-firmenich and our clients' brands.
- Be a Trendsetter: Partner with and guide all Fine Fragrance perfumers by sharing the latest consumer trends, cross-category insights, and untapped client opportunities. Spark their creativity with inspired ideas and fresh starting points.
- Curate Perfection: Select and refine submissions to meet brief parameters, providing well-founded rationale and continuously updating our collection with strategically chosen ideas.
- Harness the Power of Innovation: Utilize cutting-edge internal tools, particularly in Consumer Insights and Technical Innovation, to foster informed and inspired fragrance creation.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Detect and forecast future fragrance and product trends across categories, ensuring we meet the evolving needs within the Fine Fragrance space. Work on specialty accounts specifically on total home category; candles and hand soaps
- Collaborate and Lead: Play a key role in defining and executing account strategies. Collaborate across Marketing, Technical Innovation, Consumer Insights, Perfumers, and Sales teams, and lead client presentations with confidence on olfactive strategies.

Position level and Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary 114k – 190k

- What You Need: A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience with Fine fragrance, specialty retail and body care evaluation. Technical expertise a plus, along with translating fragrances into different forms.
- Title and Rewards: Your title and compensation will match your experience. For an FDM title, you need a minimum of 5 years of experience; for a Sr. FDM, at least 8 years.
