HR Intern

Join our team as an HR intern. This is a paid internship that will support the HR team and other managers in the facility through various tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships within the community (high schools/tech schools/resource groups/etc.)
- Assists in employee training, new hire benefit orientation and exit process, open enrollment etc.
- Assists in payroll auditing to confirm compliance
- Involved in the recruitment and selection process such as screening, interviewing, onboarding, etc.
- Coordinates miscellaneous programs including banquets, picnics, attendance and recognition awards, etc.
- Assists in HR projects
- Support HR in resolving employee concerns and inquiries
- Assist in maintaining employee records and files
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience
- Basic knowledge of human resources laws and regulations
- Customer service focused
- Organized and detail oriented
- Work independently and interact with all levels of employees (production and management)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced communication skills
- Excellent prioritizing skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interest in a career in Human Resources
- Ability to use MS Office applications
- Has the ability to work independently
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week
