Job Description

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

 

Position Description:

  • Responsible for the Operations teams, the process equipment, and all activities in the production area.
  • Supports the Operations Director by contributing to the tactical and strategic direction of IPT and promotes the behaviors and principles that drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, cross functional development, and technical expertise to operations, maintenance, and administrative personnel in the management of products.
  • Ensure that objectives are effectively achieved, consistent with our Company requirements to ensure compliance, safety, and reliable supply to our customers.
  • Accountable for production related schedule adherence, tasks, and resources in IPT and cross functionally; partner with colleagues to perform communications, training, project work, audit/inspection duties etc.; thereby ensuring department is audit/inspection ready.
  • Accountable for compliance via documentation completion, risk assessments, closing out corrective action; participate in audits and inspections and proactively highlighting any issues around compliance.
  • Collaborate with multiple partners (e.g., our Company network, third parties, vendors, quality, project managers and technical operations) in achieving excellence in IPT program.
  • Represent department in site governance meetings and lead/participate in site initiatives/teams as required.
  • Manage Department Budget and Support profit plan activities.

 

Minimum Education Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (BS) in Engineering, Business Administration, or another technical field with seven (7) years’ experience in two or more functional areas, such as Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering, Maintenance, and/or Supply Chain or in the military. OR
  • Master’s degree in Science (MS) in Engineering, Business Administration, or another technical field with five (5) years’ experience in two or more functional areas, such as Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering, Maintenance, and/or Supply Chain or in the military.

 

Required Experience and Skills

  • Two (2) years of managerial experience
  • Exceptional people skills with ability to navigate and resolve conflict through servant leadership behaviors.
  • Technical and communication skills strong enough to present in a Regulatory audit.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated drive, and ability to delegate/escalate appropriately.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Two (2) years’ experience in relevant manufacturing or processing (aseptic/sterile, oversight of sterilization cycles, vaccines, etc.)  area
  • Experience in running Operations Shop floor.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of High Performing Organization tools and methodology including lean processing
  • Demonstrated ability to create an engaged workforce.
