The Future Student Programming Coordinator, advances enrollment goals for the university by serving prospective and incoming students at Tarleton State Fort Worth. This position is based at Fort Worth’s Chisolm Trail campus and serves as a key contributor to the campus visit experience.
The coordinator supports planning and execution of campus tours, group visits, preview days, orientations, and extended orientation programming. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 to 5 or as work requirements indicate; which may include afterhours, evenings and some weekends.
Essential Duties:
30% Assist Departmental Planning. Under direction, provide leadership for year-round offerings of Campus Tours, Preview Days, Fort Worth Orientations, and Duck Camp+ at Tarleton State Fort Worth.
20% Support Departmental Programming. Assist the department with the day-of delivery of daily tour offerings and large-scale campus events for traditional freshmen, transfers, and graduate students.
20% Lead, Motivate, Supervise, and Delegate tasks to Student Coordinators. Work in collaboration with the Manager of Prospective Student Engagement and the Texan Rep Student Coordinator to help with departmental planning efforts and maximize student volunteer contributions.
10% Recruit, Select, and Train Texan Reps. Oversee necessary preparation of volunteer student staff for departmental programs.
10% Online Orientation Support. Assist the Manager of Prospective Student Engagement with collaborative efforts that support the recruitment and onboarding of Tarleton’s Online student population.
10% Performs other duties as assigned. This will include, but not limited to, supporting Prospective Student Engagement initiatives for freshman and transfer students at Tarleton’s main Stephenville campus.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
Two years’ experience serving students face-to-face in a college setting or equivalent experience with any combination of hospitality, event planning, and/or working with adult learners
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented
Comfortable speaking in front of groups of various sizes
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Experience (not required):
Master’s degree
Spanish-fluency
Experience attracting and leading a volunteer staff
Salary
Commensurate with experience
Salary Range
The target base annual salary range is $45,000 to $55,550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
