Environmental Services Linen Tech Full Time Mid Shift

Full Time 40 weekly hours, second shift

Job Summary

The Linen Technician is responsible for providing safe, hygienic, and clean linen services to our patient care areas in accordance with organizational standards of quality. While executing the assigned tasks, the Linen Technician will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical & non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographic of patients served in assigned services areas. The Linen Technician is essential contributor to providing clean linen, infection prevention, and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Responsible for distribution, organization, and inventory of clean linen and scrubs throughout patient care and clean storage areas. If assigned or required, collect soiled linen from designed soiled holdings and chute rooms.

• If applicable, maintain and operate washing and drying equipment to process linen and scrubs.

• Recommend, document, and adjust PAR levels as needed and based on patient census. Communicate with nursing, EVS Leadership, and linen vendors on changes

• Reports any unsafe conditions and/or repairs needed in a timely manner i.e., Document EVS/Maintenance concerns such as stained ceiling tiles, paint, floor care, dispenser issues, etc.

• Other duties as assigned such as performing EVS aid responsibilities as needed.
