Woodlands Medical Specialists is currently seeking to fill a Patient Care Coordinator position. Applicants must display a positive attitude, possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, have knowledge and understanding of medical insurance and work independently while also being an effective member of the team. Basic computer skills are required. This position will primarily support our Primary Care division and Family Practice/Primary Care Practice experience is desired.

Duties:

• Working with patients to collect out of pocket responsibility
• Auditing time of service collections
• Creating and monitoring payment plans
• Meeting with patients to discuss their account
• Making daily time of service phone calls to inform patients of out of pocket costs
• Assisting check in/out staff when time of service questions arise
• Specialized individual departmental duties
