About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing scalable data systems that enable advanced AI technologies. While you will not be solely responsible for setting up the full data infrastructure, you will work closely with internal teams and may collaborate with contractors for more DevOps-heavy setup tasks when needed. This role is engineering-focused, emphasizing robust ETL pipelines, scalable data architecture, and cloud-native solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Data Engineering: Architect, extract, transform, and load data into structured and efficient formats, ensuring scalability for AI-driven solutions.
• Cloud Expertise: Build and optimize data infrastructure in cloud-native environments (Azure/AWS), ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
• Foundational AI Work: Design the data infrastructure required for Generative AI, LLMs, and ML models to enhance platform intelligence.
• ETL Pipelines & Data Processing: Develop and maintain high-performance ETL processes to support complex data workflows.
• Database Management: Optimize and manage SQL/NoSQL databases for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration into the platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven expertise in data engineering, including designing scalable data pipelines and systems.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL, database optimization, and advanced data structures.
• Strong background in cloud-native technologies (Azure and AWS) and distributed computing.
• Proficiency in Python or other relevant programming languages for building data workflows.
• Understanding of ML/AI infrastructure and experience supporting AI-driven solutions.
