Join a Mission-Driven Team That Cares for More Than Just Grounds
At Golden Years Homestead, part of the Greencroft Communities family, we believe that a beautiful, safe, and welcoming environment makes a real difference in the lives of our residents. As a Maintenance Grounds Technician, you'll play a key role in creating and maintaining that environment—helping ensure our campus feels like home.
This is more than just a landscaping job. It’s an opportunity to bring life and beauty to our community through your hands-on work and pride in a job well done.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the Grounds: Lead the care of our outdoor spaces—including turf management, landscaping, and snow removal—ensuring our campus always looks its best.
- Create Beauty: Plant, prune, irrigate, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns. Help plan and implement seasonal planting and beautification projects.
- Work with Purpose: Support the mission of Greencroft Communities by creating a clean, safe, and peaceful outdoor environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Serve as a key liaison between our campus and turf management vendors. Keep residents and the maintenance team informed about ongoing work.
- Help in All Seasons: During winter or inclement weather, assist with general maintenance tasks and help care for campus facilities and equipment.
- Be Part of a Team: While you may work independently much of the time, you’ll also be a valued member of a team that supports and respects each other.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: No prior experience required—we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Skills That Matter:
- Basic knowledge (or willingness to learn) about turf and landscape care.
- Comfortable using tools and grounds equipment.
- Able to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervision.
- Friendly and respectful communication with residents and staff.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and perform physical work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Exposure to landscaping chemicals and equipment is part of the job.
Why Work at Greencroft?
- Mission-Driven Work: Be part of a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of seniors.
- Supportive Culture: We care about our team and treat each other with respect and compassion.
- Beautiful Campus: Work outdoors in a serene, park-like setting that your work helps shape and maintain.
- Stability & Growth: Join a team with long-term opportunities and a strong reputation in the community.
