Project Overview:

Driftwood LNG LLC is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

The candidate will be responsible to coordinate subcontracted work activities (site preparation, deep soil mixing) initially and will evolve into field engineering support services covering self-perform direct hire and subcontracted work for drainage works, roads construction, concrete and structural steel. The Earthworks Field Engineer undertakes activities relating to construction engineering within the civil discipline. Duties include interpreting civil design drawings and specifications for execution of civil works, such as excavation and backfill operations, deep soil mixing, concrete installation, field verification of materials, and aiding field civil personnel as required. 

Major Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Packaging 

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches. 
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.   

Material Management  

• Initiates requisitions for field purchases 
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. 

Quantities 

• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.  

Safety / Quality Control 

• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. 

Technical  

• Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities 

System Turnover Coordinator  

For Direct Hire

• Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development. 

STR / Subcontract Coordinator 

• Reviews and approves inspection test plans,  
• Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
