  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  •  At least 5 years of experience. 
  • Individual must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment. 
  • Strong reading, writing, computing, and interpersonal communication skills are required. 
  • The person must have expertise with Microsoft Office and have ability to learn RIT systems quickly.

Department/College Description

The Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in 2009 and is housed in Institute Hall. The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers BS and Ph.D. programs to approximately 280 undergraduate and 28 Ph.D. students, as well as a new MS program (as of Fall 2024). Faculty research expertise spans biomedical imaging, medical device design, biomechanics, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials. In addition to the BME’s Core Analysis Lab, researchers have access to numerous laboratory resources at RIT, including clean room facilitiesthe RIT Genomics Lab, Research Computing, and the Chemical Analysis Laboratory. Proximity to the University of Rochester Medical Center and Rochester General Hospital facilitates opportunities for clinical collaborations.
