About the role
We are hiring for a Fleet Supervisor in our Providence market! Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will require you to work out of our Supply Chain location and travel locally.

What You'll Do:
Upkeep/Maintenance/Repair of Vehicles
Work within new and established Zipcar processes to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair and cleanliness of the growing area.
Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.
Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired, to maintain car condition and resale value.
Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system.
Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime.
Supervision of Fleet Staff and vendors
Manage a staff of fleet operations personnel.
Manage vendor performance on hundreds of weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs.
Analyze historical trends and current operating metrics to identify actionable insights.
Work with Business Units to support performance improvement decisions.
Contribute to the preparation of Zipcar’s annual operating plan.
Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in managing staff, service contractors and other vendors.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
General knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
Contacts and processes and the ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
Strong process orientation.
Good financial and operational analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
