A Day in the Life

We are seeking a Team Lead IV to join our Brooklyn Center, MN team and help us continue to provide the highest quality products and services to our customers. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading and managing a production team, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to a high standard of work quality. They will be responsible for leading the production team in ensuring all safety regulations are followed, meeting production goals, and inspiring team members to perform at their highest level. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads production team work process, equipment testing, manufacturing, disassembly, and reassembly as assigned by supervisor.
  • Prioritizes use of operators according to build schedule.
  • Communicates process issues and provides status updates to team supervisor.
  • Coaches operators/assemblers on production and problem solving skills, performing technical review and machinery setup/breakdown as needed.
  • Ensures Medtronic company quality and safety standards are upheld.

Preferred Qualifications

Exceptionally qualified candidates will have the following experiences and/or qualifications:

  • A firm grasp of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word) and basic to advanced computer skills.
  • A demonstrated record of excellent performance in meeting high standards of quality, quantity, leadership and dependability (attendance and punctuality).
  • Be well organized and possess good record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve while keeping prioritization of tasks in a fast moving environment.
  • Prior experience providing supervision, or mentorship, to lower level production staff. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player. 
  • Experienced in training and onboarding. Ability to provide process improvement recommendations to supervisors. 
  • People leadership within a medical manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable leading standup meetings with team members and speaking to escalations in Tier meetings.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires minimum of 8 years of experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$50,400.00 - $75,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
