FGS is seeking a Head of Marketing and Business Development, North America to be based in our New York office.
Role overview:
To help develop and execute the firm’s Marketing and Business Development strategy for North America in support of the firm's overall objectives and commercial needs. This will include driving further recognition of the FGS Global brand, supporting business development and relationship development programs for North America and relevant global initiatives.
The role is extremely hands on and will report to the Global Head of Marketing (based in London) and Chief Growth Officer (based in New York). We are seeking a functional leader who can help set and drive the strategy while also be responsible for execution and be focused on the details to ensure success. This is not a senior executive role but is an opportunity to lead and build this function and its impact, with regular engagement with colleagues at all levels.
Responsibilities:
General
- Build strong relationships with practice partners and leaders to provide guidance and support for business development and marketing efforts.
- Be a trusted, credible and reliable resource for both strategy and execution around all regional and practice-driven business development and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure that regional business development and marketing strategies are aligned with global strategies.
- Consistently and clearly communicate to practice partners and leaders regarding business development and marketing efforts to ensure they are up to date on and playing their role in lead campaigns, thought leadership activities, events and client alerts.
Regional Marketing
- Lead regional marketing and business development efforts, aligned with the global marketing team and business development steering group.
- Act as a centralized resource for marketing activities, working with practice groups and N.A. office heads on their marketing and business development plans.
- Develop and execute region-specific targeted outreach to ensure efficient spend and return on investment, regularly reporting on key performance indicators.
- Serve as the point of contact for regional web development queries (to be executed by the website development team)
- Oversee our CRM transition in North America in conjunction with the technology team, helping to devise a process for database management, as required.
- Manage budget oversight and tracking for North America in collaboration with the Head of Global Marketing
Business Development
- Work with regional leadership and practice group leaders to ensure that Partners and others have the materials needed to pitch and win new business.
- Oversee core materials development and accessibility.
- Ensure a process exists for core NA credentials updates or regular updates led by practice groups.
- Provide for quality control, consistency of global brand messaging/tone and ease of access once finalized.
- Implement strategies to:
- Leverage our extensive network of client and referral contacts for new business and business expansion opportunities.
- Leverage email communication for new business generation.
- Maximize our website content and journeys for new business generation.
- Leverage our alumni network for new business generation.
- Use social media (paid and organic) for new business generation.
- Support target identification and outreach to new business contacts:
- Provide data on potential leads based on prior known engagement with marketing events and content.
- Collaborate with relevant team members to devise outreach specific to our priority targets in North America.
