Senior Data Engineer

SUMMARY:

As a Data Engineer, your main role is to streamline data processing and make it more accessible. Challenges include transforming complex data, maintaining data systems, and ensuring data is readily available for decision-makers. Your work directly enhances our data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

We are looking for candidates who are as excited about pushing their own development as they are about advancing our technology stack.

You will be joining our cross-functional teams responsible for new integrations and data transformation for a crucial part of the business.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

You will be joining our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:

• Discuss and promote the implementation of new features
• Listen to the customer and suggest feasibility options
• As a team commit to goals, deadlines, and objectives
• As a team design and define integration architectures and contribute to technical decisions
• Communicate your needs clearly and responsibly.
  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  
• Programming skills in Python for data processing and scripting.
• Experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda functions, S3 for data storage, and familiarity with other AWS services for data processing.
• Proficiency in using data transformation tools and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data modeling, with an understanding of data warehousing concepts (Kimball methodology is a plus but not mandatory).
• Ability to work with JSON data formats and transform data as needed.
• Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling, transformation, and documentation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
