Job Summary/Purpose
The Sr. Manager, Project Management is a leader and a subject manager expert that would support managing, training, and maintaining Project Management and Controls processes, procedures, and best practices over a several billion-dollar capital project portfolios in a matrixed environment. Will provide support Project Management and Controls practices of all stages of capital project development and execution for major projects across Generation, which would include planning, design, permitting, construction, and start-up. Works with teams to ensure comprehensive project management practices are implemented on Entergy projects in a matrix organization and helps train, develop, evaluate project needs to ensure robust cost and schedule management and achieve business goals on time and to budget.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Aids and leads in training, supports implementation of all Project Management Standards in cost, schedule, scope, estimating, WBS, risk and issues management.
- Provides leadership support and training over Entergy’s SGP, Standards, guidelines, tools and templates by which large, complex projects will be developed and executed at Entergy.
- Aids and leads in evaluations on training on comprehensive project management and controls needs and helps advise on capabilities and practices are implemented, trained and utilized on Entergy projects.
- Supports and leads teams to ensure projects have cost, schedule, scope and risk controls implemented in accordance with Project Management and Controls Standards and is in line with the requirements of Entergy’s SGP for large, small and multiple programs of Projects.
- Works with teams on contract agreements that reflect project management and controls requirements and implement in line with those requirements.
- Provides project management and controls support, training, and guidance to project teams as needed.
- Provides subject matter expertise (SME) in the various disciplines of project management and control; maintains ownership for the development and continuous improvement of policies, standards, and guides that standardize and optimize project delivery. This would include resource planning and evaluation, process creation and workflows, project related training, knowledge sharing and development.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
- 10 years of relevant experience minimum.
