The Enterprise Global Field Operations team is seeking a Recovery Leader (Level 5) to oversee our Supplier Management Global Field Operations – Supplier Recovery across several locations to include: Seattle, Washington; Long Beach, California; Seal Beach, California; San Diego, California; St Louis, Missouri; Phoenix, Arizona; Dallas, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Miami, Florida; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Other locations in the United States will be considered. In this role, candidate is expected to travel >75% of the time and be on-site at assigned supplier locations.  They will be expected to attend meetings at Boeing facilities as required.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a dynamic leader, capable of leading cross-functional teams and partnering with Supplier leadership teams to drive supplier performance recovery in one or more locations.  This leader will represent the organization by interfacing with BCA Programs leaders to address supplier issues in the field.  They will also coordinate with Global Field Operations (GFO) regional leader to ensure GFO representatives and subject matter experts are deployed to the highest priority needs in the field.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes supply base plans and integrates with customer, program and commodity strategies.

  • Identifies and participates in business and costs savings initiatives. Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities.

  • Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.

  • Manages, develops and motivates Supply Base Management Specialist employees and mid-level managers performing activities related to supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.

  • Monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.

  • Provides oversight, guidance and approval of supply base plans to ensure integration with customer, program and commodity strategies.

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides strategic management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • This position is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience problem-solving to identify critical activities and task within the work group.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management

  • 5+ years formally or informally leading a team

  • Ability to travel both international and domestic >75% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in leading manufacturing recoveries

  • 10+ years of experience working with suppliers or supplier management

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to work with cross functional groups in establishing and achieving common goals.

  • Ability to translate abstract thoughts into understandable messages for wider business consumption.

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Typically, 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) prefe
