The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Integrated Design Engineering Organization is seeking highly motivated Structural Analysis Engineers (Associate, Experienced and Lead Levels) to join the Space Mission Systems Engineering Team in El Segundo, CA.
This candidate will be a part of a high-performing engineering team that is immersed in development and high non-recurring projects and will be responsible for the mechanical integrity of structure and test equipment for satellite systems. This role will include accountability for project structural analysis across Government Programs. The candidate should have a background in mechanical/structural analysis with experience in space or satellite systems. The candidate must exemplify the Boeing Values in day-to-day operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim/final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Associate, Level 2: Typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Experienced, Level 3: Typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Lead, Level 4: Typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Experience with finite element analysis software
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active Top Secret Clearance
Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams
Experience working in a cross functional team environment and lead across engineering / non-engineering disciplines
