About the Role:

CrowdStrike’s Advanced Research team is expanding. We develop innovative detection capabilities that enable CrowdStrike to stay ahead of the adversary and stop breaches. We’re looking to add a senior engineer with deep security expertise to our growing team. 

Our Falcon platform has one-of-a-kind visibility and you’ll have the opportunity to apply your security, engineering, and research expertise to leverage this visibility and improve our platform’s ability to stop attacks. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with Security, Data Science, Engineering, and Visualization experts, all working toward the goal of developing innovative solutions to long-standing challenges in security.

What You’ll Do:

• Research and develop attack detection capabilities.

• Evaluate the efficacy of new and existing detection approaches and propose improvements.

• Work closely with other internal engineering teams to integrate new capabilities into our Falcon platform and guide cross-product architectural decisions.

• Act as a security subject matter expert.

• Share our research with the broader community.

• Continually learn about evolving challenges in security.

What You'll Need:

• Broad exposure to security and deep expertise in one or more areas.

• Programming expertise in at least one language.  Python experience is preferred as well as experience in at least one other imperative, typed language such as Go or C++.

• Comfortable leading open-ended research-focused efforts, and developing them into a series of concrete deliverables.

• Strong technical communication skills that will enable you to collaborate effectively with peers, leadership, and the community.

• Qualified candidates will likely have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field along with 5+ years of relevant experience across security, engineering, or relevant graduate work
