Role Overview – School Principal Leadership 

The Elementary School Principal will serve as the instructional leader and chief administrator of the school, ensuring a safe, respectful, and innovative learning environment for students, staff, and families. The principal will coordinate and oversee all day-to-day operations, foster a positive school culture, and advocate for high standards of teaching and learning.

Primary Responsibilities for Elementary School Principal

• Demonstrate inspiring leadership to staff, students, and the community, modeling integrity, empathy, and a commitment to educational equity
• Oversee daily operations including safety, discipline, facilities management, and schedules
• Guide and support professional development for faculty and staff, promoting best teaching practices and ongoing learning
• Collaborate with staff, families, and community stakeholders to set and achieve ambitious goals for student success
• Develop, implement, and monitor school improvement plans in alignment with district policies and goals
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable school culture that celebrates diversity and fosters student engagement
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, district policies, and procedures
• Lead regular staff meetings and communicate expectations and vision clearly to all stakeholders
• Monitor student achievement data and ensure instructional interventions are implemented, as needed
• Actively participate in district leadership teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements for El Dorado Hills Principal Jobs

• Valid California Administrative Services Credential
• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field desired
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership, coordinator, or administrative capacity in an educational setting
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse staff team with focus on professional growth and student achievement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities
