IU Health Methodist proudly anchors downtown Indianapolis as a Level 1 Trauma facility, featuring 29 state-of-the-art Operating suites. Our expertise spans diverse specialties, including Trauma, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Neurology, and General Surgery. From tackling complex cases to addressing the challenges of Trauma injuries, we provide critical care for high acuity patients across various clinical specialties.

This position is a day shift role working 6:30am-5:00pm (varies), Monday-Friday. No on call hours or travel. Holidays are flexible depending on orientees and training schedules. 

The Sterile Processing Clinical Educator plans, facilitates, implements, and evaluates trainings for clinical team members. Ensures clinical instruction is properly coordinated and team members receive adequate medical and technical instruction, exposure, and experience in their professional discipline.

  • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  •  3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Must be organized and detail orientated as you will manage multiple orientees at once.
  • Understand AAMI standards and Sterile Process best practices.
  • Must have a love for teaching and inspiring new learners.
