Accounts Payable Supervisor

Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is looking to add an Accounts Payable Supervisor to our West Chester, PA headquarters.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities in the accounts payable function including maintaining accurate records regarding payments to suppliers, performance of the AP function that focuses on ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, minimizing unbilled services, achieving objectives (individual and team) and successfully managing customer expectations.  As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, maintain accurate accounting record and oversee, training, and coach the AP Team and manage 3+ AP Specialist direct reports.  

Essential Functions

• Supervises and maintains a systematic approach for the review and payment of invoices

• Ensures all payments are adequately supported, all authorizations are evident, and invoices are paid according to terms
• Oversees and reviews the set-up and maintenance of vendors in the company’s database
• Interacts and works directly with vendors and company contacts on a regular basis to answer inquiries, resolve problems, facilitate activities, and provide support services
• Oversees the preparation and processing of the weekly check runs and verifies check amounts by reviewing accounting reports
• Manages direct reports and attracts, develops, and retains competent and committed teammates
• Creates performance objectives for all team members, motivates and reinforces teamwork and provides ongoing guidance to teammates regarding performance
• Defines and maintains AP policies to ensure compliance with regulations and internal control objectives
• Provides reporting and analytical support to other departments as necessary
• Administers and reconciles the corporate credit card program with attention to growing total spend strategically
• Administers formal check escheatment program to ensure compliance across various states
• Provides expertise with regards to general ledger expense accounts to assist with budgeting
• Leads major projects, assumes additional responsibilities, and performs ad hoc analyses as directed by the Cash Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related
• 5+ years of A/ P experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interact with employees, superiors, and customers
• Strong presentation skills
• Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
