Grocery Stocker - White River Jct. Store - Full Time

Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Grocery Manager oversee the daily operations of the Grocery Department, ensuring sound operation, growth, profitability and a high level of customer service in line with the stated goals and policies of the cooperative.   Will be responsible for ensuring customer service quality standards are met.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Direct the daily operations of the grocery departments including scheduling, staffing, and customer service.
2. Promote sales, consult with customers and assist in department operations.
3. Prioritize effectively and balance competing demands.
4. Responsible for dept. inventory, pricing, special promotions, following guidelines and policies established by assigned merchandiser to assess new product, maintain margins and interaction with other designated staff. 
5. Responsible for dept. inventory, pricing, special promotions.
6. Stock and rotate products, order product on a regular basis, working with employees, sales representatives and vendors. 
7. Train, coach, supervise and motivate department staff. 

Qualifications: High School or equivalent; must be able to lift to 60 lbs. to 75 lbs comfortably on a regular basis.

Attendance Requirements: Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
