Summary

As an industry leader in infrastructure protection services, USIC operates at a national scale with a tremendous fleet and field force.  We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Field Transformation to drive both business and IT transformation efforts across our field operations. This role will oversee strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing field processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and leveraging innovative technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programs, aligning business and IT strategies, and delivering measurable outcomes.

The Director of Field Transformation will work closely with leadership teams, field operations, and technology partners to ensure a seamless integration of new tools, processes, and systems that enhance the effectiveness of field teams while meeting business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive field transformation strategy that aligns with organizational goals and drives operational excellence
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvement, technology enhancements, and workforce optimization in field operations
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to define transformation priorities and develop a roadmap for implementation
  • Oversee multiple transformation initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and alignment with business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of new systems, tools, and processes
  • Implement robust change management strategies to drive adoption and ensure the success of transformation programs
  • Evaluate existing field operations workflows and implement streamlined, scalable processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to redesign key areas such as dispatching, scheduling, inventory management, and customer interactions
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of transformation efforts on business outcomes
  • Partner with IT teams to modernize field systems, including mobile workforce tools, communication platforms, and analytics solutions
  • Ensure the seamless integration of IT solutions with business workflows, driving usability and productivity for field teams
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to innovate and future-proof field operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in leading large-scale transformation initiatives, with a focus on field operations or similar domains. Utility and Telecom Industries experience highly preferred
  • Ability to travel 15-25% of the time
  • Strong Experience with Project Management Required
  • Demonstrated success in integrating business and IT transformation efforts
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with product management tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with field service management software (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce Field Service, Oracle FSM)
  • Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Ability to write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data within MySQL and Snowflake
  • Experience in industries such as telecommunications, utilities, or manufacturing with significant field operations
  • Familiarity with advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and predictive analytics for field service optimization
