PMC: Digital Asset Manager

PMC is looking for a proactive Digital Asset Manager with excellent communication skills who is knowledgeable of fashion, entertainment and music, both contemporary and historical.

This person must be resourceful, able to prioritize effectively, and do well under pressure. This position will play a key role in arranging, describing, preserving, and managing the PMC media collections, including both photo and video assets. 

Responsibilities:

• Leading the tagging of digital libraries, both still and video
• Training editors and photographers (both internal and external) on DAM uploads and best practices, and ensuring their adherence to our best practices and policies in real time
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to guarantee the success of technical aspects of the DAM project
• Occasionally working onsite at major events, managing live submissions and guaranteeing the quality of metadata
• Creating shareable links and ensuring content standards are met for brand events like the Golden Globes, Billboard Music Awards, and more, in real time
• Creating and managing metadata templates for live event photography captured at third party and brand events
• Working with brand teams to ensure rights management information is properly captured
• Supervising metadata tagging for issue assets from the various PMC properties
• Curating digital content for syndication
• Collaborate on special projects as needed, working closely with PMC’s AVP of Content

Requirements:

• Knowledge of digital imaging standards and experience in digital image and video capture and processing, including browsing software and manipulation software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; must be able to work independently
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office computer skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Bridge and Light Room
• Experience with other image browsing tools like Photo Mechanic
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles of arrangement and description of archival collections and current archival best practices and standards
• Understanding of permissions, rights, and licensing
• Superior written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, with ability to facilitate collaboration
• Interest in the history, theory and practice of fashion, music and entertainment
• Experience working on previous DAM projects a plus, especially large photo and video libraries

 

Typical wage range: $85k - $95K+ annual discretionary bonus. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
