QC Analytical Scientist - Consumer Products/Personal Care.

One of the world's largest consumer products companies, with a beloved portfolio of consumer-trusted high-profile brands, is in immediate need of a Quality Control Analytical Scientist, operating in personal care/consumer products space. 

Primary Role:

The QC Analytical Scientist will be responsible for using data to determine reliability and conformance of quality control process.  This person will also be accountable for identifying trends and reoccurring issues and suggesting solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Performs complex tests and analyses to assure that products comply with established specifications.

·         Carries out difficult calculations and prepares documentation that shows the results of tests performed.

·         The Scientist will perform analysis utilizing analytical instruments, notably chromatographic instruments and perform instrumental and wet chemistry testing using HPLC, UPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/VIS, LC-MS, dissolution apparatus, and wet chemistry as required.

·         Experience with QC analysis to include: HPLC, Water, Mass Spec, FTIR, UV, GC,

·         This is a volume driven position that directly touches product.

·         Collects and compiles data on reoccurring product defects.

·         Reviews raw material inspection logs and creates list of consistent failures.

·         Implements work processes, measurements and performance metrics to identify improvement areas.

·         Attends meetings with customers, suppliers and associates to understand standards and expectations.

·         Supports process improvement teams.

·         Monitors and scrutinizes internal and external complaints and compiles data to be used in reports.

·         Gathers and assembles details on defective products and materials.

Requirements

·         Requires 3+ Years of relevant work Experience.

·         Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or related fields.

This is a hybrid position and requires to be onsite 2-3 days a week.
