The Hartford is looking for a talented, entrepreneurial, and collaborative Senior Product Analyst to help build the future of The Hartford’s Personal Lines Telematics offerings. The successful candidate will be a key part of the team responsible for evolving and developing new telematics offerings that grow our business by better meeting the needs of a more diverse segment of customers while continuing to support our existing customer demographic.
This position will function within the Product team, working with the business teams and technology to develop and implement new capabilities, product offerings, and state-specific enhancements. Using a data-driven and iterative test-and-learn approach, this position will identify opportunities and deliver solutions to improve the customer experience and optimize our product performance. Responsibilities:
Work closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for the newly developed products.
Work closely with Data & Analytics Engineering team on building and improving the operational data sets that power our analytics and operational workflows.
Leverage multiple data sets to derive insights and metrics that support identification of key focus areas and facilitate quick decision making.
Develop and prioritize user stories for Telematics based on business input.
Collaborate with the solutions architecture and technical delivery teams to design products, platforms and capabilities that meet our business needs while maximizing efficiency.
Collaborate with Product Development and IT teams to develop and implement new product offerings and capabilities that increase customer growth and retention.
Build strong relationships with Product Managers and Pricing teammates to understand the nuances of unique state markets and develop creative solutions.
Assists with filings for state insurance departments. Develops and maintains required manuals and materials in support of pricing and policy revisions for the product management team.
Provides high level analysis of information regarding competitors, product performance and general insurance and market issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 3 plus years of P&C insurance experience required.
Prior experience in Auto Telematics is a plus
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills along with strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Ability to research and analyze competitor filings, and evaluate regulatory and compliance requirements.
Experience in a product development environment utilizing Agile tools (Jira, Kanban, Scrum) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize various data to produce recommendations and actions.
Strong attention to detail, project management skills and drive-for-results mentality, with the ability to multi-task and make decisions in a business context.
Solutions-oriented individual, with ability to think strategically and implement change.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
