You’ll bring your passion for problem solving and partner with various teams to influence decision-making for a product’s entire lifecycle.  Your work will involve you optimizing product development to impact patients around the world with pioneering technology.

You will perform routine and non-routine testing to support validation/revalidations of critical systems and sterilization equipment, identification of bacterial/fungal isolates, evaluation of inactivation rates of organisms, product resistance studies, prepares general test data summaries, trend charts, protocols and reports.  You will also perform testing, per established standard operating procedures. 

How you will make an impact: 
•    Perform routine and non-routine testing within the department, as per established procedures. 
•    Perform data entry of routine and non-routine testing. 
•    Assist in testing validation/revalidation activities for critical systems and sterilization equipment with minimal supervision. 
•    Microbial identification and evaluation of inactivation rates of microorganisms.
•    Prepare data summaries, protocols and reports using existing templates as a model. 
•    May generate inter-company memos using templates for areas such as sample request or to schedule studies. 
•    Initiate and support laboratory investigations and propose recommendations for manager view. 
•    Propose and update operating procedures and ensure that specifications are in compliance with GMP, Environment, and Safety regulations. 

What you'll need (Required): 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field (Biological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, etc.) 
•    2 years’ related laboratory technician experience

What else we look for (Preferred):
•    Medical device industry or related industry preferred, including aseptic techniques. 
•    Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); LIMS experience strongly preferred. 
•    Good verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. 
•    Good writing skills required.
•    Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment. 
•    Strict attention to detail.
•    Must be able to work in a team environment. 
•    Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $51,000 to $72,000 (highly experienced).
