This job posting is for 3rd shift. Team members work a rotational schedule of 4 days one week and 3 days the following week with the potential to work additional hours.  The work hours are generally 10 hours a day and the shift generally starts at 9:00 p.m.  The starting base rate of pay is $24.80/hour, plus a shift premium of $2.00/hour. Starting pay can be higher based on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime pay.  Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Performs work involving hydraulics, pneumatic electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.
• Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down production line machinery and completes daily documentation, as required.
• All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
• Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
• Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least six (6) months of mechanic work experience with one or a combination of employers, or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program 
• At least six (6) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) years
• Requires basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training
• Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely and to follow all safety protocols
• Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures

• Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed
• Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Ability to climb up and down stairs to get to/from work areas, work at elevated levels, various heights, and in confined spaces, as applicable
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform job up to 10-12 hours/day, with appropriate breaks
