About the role

Assistant Project Manager

Location: Annapolis, MD 

Type: Full time permanent position/ plenty of room for growth 

Pay: up to $95K salary + bonuses + Excellent Benefits package! 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in all aspects from initiation to completion of the project.
  • Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure resources, schedules and deliverables are all accurate and on time.
  • Assist in project planning, including inventory, budgets and cost estimation.
  • Constant monitoring of the projects progress, identifying possible risks and working with team members to find a solution.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, change orders and project reports.
  • Communicate and maintain strong relationships with Clients, Subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project completion.
  • Review and approve construction plans for compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
  • Review job reports, field staff reports, submittals, and other project related documentation
  • Assist with the review of subcontractor invoices and field staff reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
  • Preference for demonstrated experience in project management within the mechanical contracting industry. However, new college graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, is preferred but we are willing to train!
  • Strong Multitasking and organization skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others under pressure / deadline.
  • Experience with Project Management / Construction Software tools.

  • MEP Project management: 2-4 years
